I had always wanted to make a Christmas Advent calendar, and finally had the opportunity to do so. I made this advent calendar at a stamp camp about 2 weeks ago.
Now...I have all the materials to make one for my 2 young nephews. Let's see...I have what 1 day to make one and deliver it all the way to Yuma!?! I think this is a summer project...

The mail carrier rang once and this is what was waiting for me...my much anticipated matchbox Advent Christmas Swap from my Secret Santa!
Nicely wrapped in linen and tulle...
Monogrammed just for me!
The BIG reveal! A beautifully decorated box.
Two slide boxes to pull that holds 25 tiny gifts! One for each day until Christmas!
I get to find out on Christmas Day who my Secret Santa is!!!
This swap was hosted by JoAnne from Vintage Dragonfly.
I have mailed mine out last Saturday, and should arrive at its destination sometime tomorrow Tuesday!!!

I participated in a Post It Note Holder Swap hosted by Tee at Creations by Tee. We were paired in teams and my swap partner was Karen from Karen's Monday Musings.
Karen is a fellow Arizonan from Tucson, and she is one talented lady. Take a look at what she created for me...
Once I untied the ribbon, it opened up to this...
Every single touch and detail was well thought out. It's a little square treasure.
Thank you Karen!

I received these handmade napkin rings from Mercedes. How can one person be so talented!
They remind me of mums...my favorites.
I paired them with Ann's napkins she made for me from last year's cigar box swap.
Thank you Ladies! My dining room has a touch of fall this year

I had fun making 3 cards using the same stamp set, especially the use of the ribbon and buttons.
I stamped the image on designer paper and then cut out the dresses. Sort of like playing with paper dolls. This technique is called paper piecing.
Of course I had to use a little sparkle.
Which reminds me, I have to re-stock the button jar!!!
Have a great day!
