You learn something new everyday.  Incredible, huh?!

Well, I learned that a gluebook is a mixed media which is a cross between art journals, daily diaries and collage. You simply collect paper that fallout from your daily life, and then you turn it into art !  But just not any paper.  Paper that inspires you and reflects your likes and style.
The really great thing about gluebooks is that they require no techniques or fancy supplies, but it must be flat

These are my first tries at a gluebook, and I need to play at it more until I get the hang of it!

Altered Keys

These are my two altered keys I created for Joyce and Tiffany.  I used keys that I had saved for awhile, and finally had a chance to use them.  I used pieces of jewelry, paper flowers, lace and glass beads.

I made the tags from old greeting cards I received using a tag diecut.  I love the patina and wear look of the keys.  It was a little hard to part with them.  I hope the ladies like them.

Altered Key Swap

I participated in an altered key swap hosted by Tee from The Altered Paper.  I had never before altered a key and it was a pretty neat experience.  Today, I am sharing the two altered keys I received.
This beautiful altered key is from Joyce.  I love the deep red and white lace that decorates the tag.  The key itself looks like a jewel!  Thank you Joyce!

The second altered key was made by Tiffany.  She actually made an altered key bookmark out of men's ties.  How ingenious!  This is something I would have never thought of doing.  Thank you Tiffany!

Tomorrow I will post on the 2 altered keys I made for these ladies.

May's Tag

This is my "tag-a-month" for May hosted by Tee at the Altered Paper.  The theme for this month's tag is mothers/flowers.
I made this tag for Ginger, and I hope she likes it.  She sent me these 2 gorgeous tags.  I feel bad I didn't reciprocate by doing the same :-(
I found the beautiful white lace at my local craft store.  It looks and feels like an angora sweater.  The stick pin is one I made recently.

May's Tag A Month Swap

Time is simply flying away from me, even though it seems like an eternity for November to get here!  November 26th. will be my last day of work (retirement) and then I can be FREE to really to do what I please!

I am so behind in posting and also in getting some swaps out the door.  It makes me feel like I'm missing out..BIG TIME!

I participated in Tee's Tag A Month swap, and this is what I received from Ginger:
The theme for this month's swap is Mothers/flowers.  Ginger's tag is simply stunning!

Not only did she include one tag, but 2!  I was speechless!  It's so sweet!  Ginger made the brown envelope tag holder to hold this beautiful tag.

Thank you so much Ginger for sending me such great delicate tags and extra goodies!

Thank you so much Esmeralda.

This is my ATC for Esmeralda.  I don't think it comes close to Esmeralda's, but I hope she liked mine.

Queen's ATC

This past two weeks have been absolutely "hell" at work...long hours and too many "darn" projects...which leave me with no free time.  I am really resenting my so called work taking away quality time with my Hubby and the things I enjoy to do.

Phew...enough venting and let me share with you an ATC I received from Valery.

Valery from It's An Alien Life, made this gorgeous Queen ATC and it arrived all the way from England.

Queen Anne, 6th. Feb 1665 ~ 1st. Aug 1714
Ascended the throne of England, Scotland, Ireland
On 8th, March 1702.  Daughter of James II of England.
Anne was the last Monarch of the House of Stuart.
Married Prince George of Denmark 28th. July 1683.

Thank you so much Valery.  Lovely!
Mine is on its way to her...
