Last time I visit Mom, she was busy making crochet Christmas ornaments.
These are her own creations...no patterns!
This year she created her very own stars. She will starch them lightly and add some string and they're ready be hung.

One last autumn garland...I promise!!!
Super simple and easy to make.
I simply used silk autumn leaves, twine, chipboard letters, tiny clothespins which I hand stamped with leaves.
My last Blessed garland is now Mom's!

I simply couldn't wait to post something Christmassy!!!
After falling in love with Anabelia's crochet stars Christmas garland, I have made 2 snowflake garlands.
I'm calling them snowflakes rather than stars, because they remind me more of snowflakes.
I decided to go all white instead of different color centers.
The garland with silver bling center is now my sister's.
Now this clear bling center garland is mom's!
Now I have to sit down and finish mine!!!

I am thankful and proud to be an American.
After seeing my Give Thanks book page wreath I made last week, my Sister asked me if I could show her how to make one.
While she worked on her book page wreath, I worked on this gold cross medallion wreath for Mom.
I am so glad Mom loved it!!!
This is my Sister's wreath!
In making these wreaths, we used an old Bible book. I really love how hers turned out with the yellowed pages. She wasn't too happy how the center of her wreath turned out, but we are going to work on fixing that tomorrow night.
She is not too crafty, so I am going to make sure she's happy with this wreath. I don't want her to give up on becoming crafty and spending quality bonding time with her Big Sis (moi)!

We should wear our poppies,
On Remembrance Day.
Soldiers had to go to war,
They wished that they could stay.
Wives and children were so sad,
They watched their men all leave.
So the mothers had to go to work,
When men were lost they grieved.
We know there could be peace for all,
If everyone could agree.
Our father's fathers fought for us,
So we could all be free.
Remembrance Day gives us a chance,
So that we don't forget.
That lives were lost, we're always grateful,
For those who died for us.

I am thankful to be lucky enough to enjoy perfect weather year round (without earthquakes, tornadoes or sweltering beastly heat).
It's a glorious Saturday morning here in AZ!!! Nice cool sweater wearing kind of morning and enjoying a hot java cup. Life can't get any better than this for me...I feel content.
Earlier this week I made a similar tag banner like the above, but gave it away to my BFF. I was determined to make one for myself though, and using the leftover supplies from the first one...
BTW...my Sis is stopping by today, and I have a strong feeling that it will be going home with her!
I am currently working on a Rustic Potato Chip Scarf while watching TV in the evenings...of course PINK. I can't wait to finish it to see it all done, since this is my first one ever.

I am thankful by being blessed by God on a daily basis.
Lisa (Mabey She Made) painted it and is so generous to share it with us.
I love it!!!
I wish I were as talented as Lisa to be able to paint as she does.
On my shopping list: need a more fitting frame with a nice mat to display this picture

I am Grateful and Thankful for my BFF!
I am so happy to be back in my fully stocked craft room!!!
By fully stocked craft room, I mean that I have all my papers, punches, ribbons, and ephemera at my easy reach...even though I did do a quick shop stop at my neighborhood craft store...hehehe...just couldn't resist.
I had planned to make another hanging banner, but at the last minute I decided to make it a tag banner.
It's amazing how I always start with a cleared work table, but I always manage to end up with just enough room to work on a project. Organized chaos!
This is the back of the tag banner. I used Autumn Washi tape to concealed the Scotch tape attaching the tags.
On the next tag banner I make, I will not cut individual tags. I'll figure out how I can fold the paper and make a long row of tags.

For the longest time, I had been wanting to make a book page wreath.
I love how it turned out!
I used this free printable, and made it fit the 2" x 2 1/4" frame.
I found the tiny little frame at a garage sale for $1.
I followed Robeson Design's YouTube tutorial which I really like her easy to follow directions and video. Except I used a very heavy paper plate as the base for the wreath.
I then punched a hole on the lower edge of the plate rim, and threaded a piece of ribbon to hang it from.

Last Saturday, I had a great morning finding a few garage sale treasures!
The above bowl and following 2 items I found at an Estate Sale. It was their last day and everything was 50% off.
I loved this bowl at first sight!
I almost did not get this silver candle holder/flower arrangement piece because of it had very a old and faded silk flower arrangement. I am giving it a second chance and will add a fresh flower arrangement for special dinners.
I also just had to get this cute little pillow. I wasn't too crazy about the fabric, but I loved the beautiful crochet edging on both ends. I figure I can always replace the fabric with one of my liking and add the crochet edge to it.
I found this gorgeous bowl at my neighbor Sue's garage sale. This bowl will be great to serve a huge salad or a hot pasta dish.
I also bought a couple of her Longaberger baskets...but more on that for another post! I LOVE Longaberger baskets!!!
And last but not least, my sister introduced me to a new store in town (well...new to me). It's called Redesign Goodwill. Every other Saturday, everything is 50% off, except for the new furniture.
I bought this yo-yo quilt. I think it will add a touch of Christmas decor to our bedroom.
This handmade quilt also came from Redesign Goodwill. It's a light quilt perfect for our chilly nights. Both quilts are in great condition.
This store is very clean and well organized. The merchandise is in great condition and easy to sort through.
I am thankful and grateful for my very generous/healthy/loving Mom.
