Reading & Bookmarks
It has been over a month since my last post and I have so much catching up to do!
I had not been feeling well for a long while, and it finally caught up with me, to the point that I had been placed on medical leave for almost 2 months now. I have never ever taken time off like this before and I had to learn to take care of myself and to take it easy. Day by day I am starting to feel like my old self, and hopefully very soon I can go back to finding joy in life in a healthy way!
Well enough about me!
I participated in several fun swaps, and today I will start with one that I really had so much fun with. I love to read and I always in need of bookmarks. This swap was hosted by Tee at The Altered Paper and we were to create 2 bookmarks. My partner was Elysia.
These 2 bookmarks are from Elysia. Thank you Elysia!!! I am currently using them to hold my place in a book and a magazine. |
These 2 flower bookmarks are the ones I sent to her. I used flower punches to make the distressed flowers and corduroy covered buttons. I found the giant bookmarks at WalMart years ago. |
This summer I have discovered a new book author and have not been able to put her books downs. Her name is Lisa Wingate and she is a "fiction writer that's good for the soul." |
Here is the back of the bookmark! In the next couple of weeks I will post more swaps that I received and I sent out. Hopefully, I'll post them in chronological order. Thank you for stopping by~ Oliva |
