Summer Vintage Hatbox Swap

Michele from Something Special hosted a really neat Summer Vintage Hatbox Swap.  My very talented and generous swap partner was Wendy from The Frog Palace.

Wendy altered this heart shaped hatbox for me and filled it with lots of great treasures.  Thank you Wendy!!!

I made this hatbox for Wendy.  I decoupaged it using designer paper and I created the flower vignette top from burlap, lace, silk flowers, ribbon, and a crotchet doily.  Sorry about the picture but my camera was acting up...or was it me...hmmm?

I filled her round hatbox with lots of goodies and vintage finds.  She loves dresser scarves and sewing materials.

I found this really cool cork sheet of printed (with sticky back) at Michael's in the scrap paper section.  I used it to edge the bottom of the box and side of the lid with it.  I really loved the way it turned out!

Thank you for stopping by~
