Country Crochet Star Ornaments

It's not too late to make a few simple, quick, easy and adorable Christmas tree ornaments!

I had some left over stiff yarn from a previous project to make these crochet star ornaments.  I'm glad I saved it!  I had just enough to make one or two of each color.  I used Persia Lou's free crochet pattern to make my star ornaments.

Once I was done making all of the stars, I blocked them using my super hold hair spray...that's all I had on hand...and it worked!!!  I did not want to used water down white glue, because I was afraid it might have flaked once dried.

Once dried, I sewed on a wooden button onto some coordinating ribbon to each star to give it a little country touch.

This is one small Pearl Beads Christmas ornament I made after being inspired by this pretty one on Pinterest.  Of course, I made it very super simple.

I used a small styrofoam ball, pearl beads, strong glue (not hot glue), small straight pins, and thin ribbon; and let it dry completely.

It is a little time consuming, and since some of the ladies at my Church Guild offered to help me, they will be making them.  They told me that I should simply come up with the ideas, and they will put them together.  In a way they have named me their "un-official "art & crafts" coordinator...😮

These ornaments were part of my donation to our Church's Annual Christmas Bazaar which was a success!!!  Money will be going to very worthy charities.
