A Birdie Told Me

You mean everything to me.
{EVERYTHING}
 This week I made time to work in my craft room and made this bird card (1 of 5) for a swap.  We were to make our cards out of a color that we have difficulty with or have an abundance of that cardstock.  Well I have lots of my favorite 2 colors: black and turquoise.
In return, I will receive 5 different cards from other participating swap partners.

The New Year started out so well!  I have kept myself very busy and productive.

So far this year I played Bingo at Church for the very first time and had a great time.  I'm sure I had Bingo, but being a first timer I probably didn't know I did.  I had a great time though!

Mom and I went to a local casino with our Church group.  It was my mom's first time ever at a casino.  As beautiful as this casino was, I'm still not a fan of casinos.  Too much cigarette smoke and came home with a horrible migraine.

In our Women's Guild Sewing Group we started working on lap quilts to be donated to our veterans.  I finished making one this past Wednesday...and a couple more to go!

This Saturday I'm hosting Bunco...we're a group of 12 fun and raucous Ladies!!!
So today I will spend most of my day getting our home ready and preparing a huge pan of Lasagna for tomorrow's fun evening!

And today I meet my BFF for lunch!  She's still working and we haven't had a chance to see each other since before Christmas!  We have lots of catching up to do!!!

Love your challenge card, especially the newsprint! What a good idea! You will have to tell us where the casino is when we go to AZ. I also get a headache from the smoke. Some have smoke free areas. Sounds like a wonderful time for you!

Your cards are so pretty, great challenge to work with colors you don't normally use. That is great you all are making quilts for the veterans, I am sure they feel very blessed that you all are thinking of them that way!
