Progress

It has sure been a while since I've had a chance to sit down, drink my coffee at leisure and visit my own blog!  We've had a very interesting and very active month back in Arizona to say the least!  To keep my sanity intact, I had a chance to work in my craft room and worked on one project, while everything else around me/us is CHAOS!

Besides trying to keep up with swaps, Pocket Letters and not being able to meet some deadlines, Church activities, Bunco, Mom's Chauffeur, vet appointments for all four of our pets, learning to give Oliver his insulin shots twice a day, my own medical appointments, and going to bed with a huge painful migraine...I did managed to spend yesterday afternoon in my craft room and work on a little Christmas project !!!

I made a Christmas card holder out of a big binder clip.  It can also be used as a photo holder or place card holder.
It was very easy to make and the best part was that I used those little paper scraps, bits & pieces, odds & ends I've saved just in case I needed them some day.
I'm thinking it would make a cute little stocking stuffer or gift to tuck away for someone special!

Here's a preview of our living room in progress...
...and it has been a project!
A little surprise under the carpet: very old linoleum tiles and tested with a small percentage of asbestos!  Old tiles removed and floor treated by experts; the tiling finally began!!!
Oh but wait!  While tiles were being laid, Leo the Tiler, found out that several of the tiles were warped....which more had to be ordered...and the saga continued of a home renovation...LOL!!!
After all the ups and downs and all tiles laid down, "the grouting" is being done...yeah!!!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

My dear Oliva - Oh, it does seem like everything happens at once, doesn't it? I suffer from migraines and I know how miserable you feel - all life does stop :( Your binder clip is so adorable and a great stocking stuffer and also great for those who have office party gift exchanges! I love your tile floor - it is going to be very beautiful and worth all the inconvenience. I hope you find time for some peace and relaxation very soon. Hugs xo Karen

It is wonderful to visit your lovely blog again. Despite all the hiccups you have had with your floor I must say the tiles are looking lovely. Your card holder is sweet; it will make a lovely stocking stuffer. May this week be a little less chaotic for you.

Sounds like you need a day at the "spa"! I agree with the gals, the floor will be great when it's done. Hoping for a better week! Crafting seems to help when I'm a tad stressed.
warmly,

The floor is going to be so pretty but home renovations are not for the weak of heart! Glad you got to do some fun stuff, and your little card holder is very cute!

Love the clip Olivia! I spent yesterday crafting with three friends and it was so fun. We are making a Christmas smash book. Love your flooring! Yes, it is a job; but will be well worth it. Can't wait to see! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
