Serving Our Country

This month has been a whirlwind of non-stop activity...phew!  I was barely able to keep up, and left me with little time to blog or take pictures.

Yesterday I shared with you about being a member of the CDA (Catholic Daughters of the Americas), and becoming our Court's Program Coordinator.

For the month of November, each member received a toy soldier to take home in honor of Veteran's Day.  The soldier came with a little tag that read,
"Place a SOLDIER somewhere that will remind you to PRAY for Our Men & Women Serving our Country".

The other activity I included for us to participate in was Empty Bowls.
We usually have refreshments right after our meeting and visit.  I thought that instead of having refreshements, it would be a good idea for us to give it up and increase our awareness of world hunger.  So in lieu of refreshments, we collected non-perishable food items and donated to Valley View Community Food Bank.
I was very happy and touched by our group's generosity to help others.
We are truly GRATEFUL & THANKFUL!

KINDNESS is a wonderful way
to let another
struggling soul know that there is still
LOVE in this world.
