Sausage Bacon Roll Ups

Tonight hubby and I went to our neighborhood happy hour at Linda's. Every 2 to 3 weeks one of us hosts happy hour, and we all bring an appetizer to share.
Last month I participated in an appetizer recipe swap, and this was a good time to try one of the recipes.
I chose Sausage Bacon Roll Ups. Everyone loved them and I was so happy to come home with an empty platter! The recipe was submitted by Nikki1578 over at Splitcoaststampers.

Sausage Bacon Roll-Ups
1 lb. loaf white bread
1 lb. hot sausage (I used Italian hot)
2 lbs. bacon (cut slice in half)
1 pkg cream cheese, room temperature)
1 small chopped onion
Trim crust off of bread. Cut slices in half. Brown sausage with onion. Drain. Mix the cream cheese with sausage while still warm. Spread mixture on bread slices and roll up. Wrap with bacon and secure with toothpicks. Bake at 400* until bacon is brown and crispy.
Enjoy!
