October's Fresh-Cut Friday

 October is finally here!
There's something about this month that I simply love.  To me it is actually the beginning of autumn: cool weather, hot apple cider, candy corn, Halloween, leaves turning, pumpkins and getting ready for winter.

I cut the last of the Black Eyed Susans from our garden and made a simple little flower arrangement to welcome October.
The painting is Hubby's of Lake Superior on the North Shore.
It makes me feel sad to see them bloom for the last time, but one good thing about this flower it's that its bloom lasts for a long time.

I added 2 of the last hydrangea blossoms that had not yet started to turn brown.

 What pensive beauty  autumn shows.

It makes me a little sad that the blooming season is just about over but it gives us something to look forward to next spring. Love that vase you used! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Your pretty flowers really brighten up the corner as they sit under your wonderful and special painting. I think the hydrangea will dry nicely! Have a wonderful weekend. Linda
