Medallion Thank You

I needed to make some quick thank you cards this weekend, and was inspired by Sarah's Medallion card. I think her card is so simple and elegant.
I used SU!'s Medallion stamp inked in Ruby Red. I went through my button jar and found 4 fabric covered matching buttons. For the rest of the cards, I just used regular buttons. I haven't decided if I should stamp a sentiment on the front of the card.

These are lovely. I've not used stamps much on my cards, as I could never master them without smearing the ink. How DO you do that? Thus, I have come to draw my own and create my very own cutouts. Saves me the funds that I do not currently have as well, because of all my medical bills for my liver condition.

Anyway, maybe some post you can share some tips on doing stamps on cards?
