Tablescape Thursday

Susan from Between Naps on the Porch hosts Tablescape Thursdays. I can't wait for every Thursday to come around so I can take a peek at all of the fabulous tablescapes done by several of Susan's blogger followers. I finally have enough courage to give it a try all by lonesome self. So here it goes...
I set a table for two using one of my very first garage sale finds several years ago. I was so lucky to find a 5-piece set for 4 by Johnson Brothers called Staffordshire Bouquet for $20. Ever since then I've added pieces with help from my sister Veronica, for example a creamer & sugar set that she gave me for a birthday. I now have a complete set for 8, and I'm always on the lookout for more serving pieces.

I added a little touch of whimsy to each place setting by placing a little turkey I made last year. The tablerunner I acquired about 5 years ago at a local craft show hosted by Posie Patch.
The Pilgrims are from Joann's. I find them so adorable and not so prim and proper dressed in their usual boring colors.

The cute S&P shakers are from Cracker Barrel one of my very favorite stores.

Over the summer I went to a nearby mall where several shops sell items to raise funds for several charities. At one of these stores I found a set of 6 linen (and lace) napkins for $2.50.

The set of 3 autumn tea lights are a gift from my sister-in-law Carla. She gave these to me a couple of years ago for my birthday. My birthday usually falls on Thanksgiving Day or...before...or after.

Hubby and I will face each other at dinner.

The gold chargers are from Big Lots for a $1 each!

The platter comes from Big Lots, and the stemware and coasters are from Princess House...for a while there I was invited from one Princess House party to another until finally the insanity stopped...LOL!!!

Well, it wasn't so hard in setting a proper table after all! It gives me a very good reason to continue shopping for more good deals, and satisfy my "dish fettish".

Bon Appetit!

You did a great job for your first time. I love that you remember where each item came from whether it was a gift or a personal purchase, that to me shows you really value all your little treasures. Enjoy your dinner! And keep doing those table scapes, they're so much fun.

What a lovely table. Everything looks just gorgeous. I especially love the linens, the colors are so appropriate and the lace edged napkins are beautiful. Your dishes are lovely and the use of fruit as the centerpiece is perfect. Hugs, Marty

oliva,
Boy lots of pretty pictures. Love the fall colors.
I see you love stamping. Maybe you could tell me what is the best ink pads to buy. And do you buy lots of colors? I have bought a few in the past but I never fell like they print right. I have about two thousand stamps, well you know, alot! but have never been sure about the ink part.
