Fresh Cut Friday

I have to share with you this beautiful exotic bromeliad blossom! I just love tropical plants!
This is the first time I've been lucky enough to keep this plant alive!
It was given to me for my birthday last November by a co-worker. Thank you Carolyn.

I placed it in this rustic tray surrounded by huge Ponderosa pine cones from Idyllwilde, California. We brought several pine cones from one of our summer trips there.

It's beauty and color simply amazes me!

I have the bromeliad atop our overloaded bookshelf. The fishbowl holds Bubba our Beta Fish. Where is he??? I think he's camera shy...

Please stop by Liz at Rose Vignettes to see her beautiful flowers for today's Fresh Cut Fridays. At the same time you'll get to visit other bloggers' fresh cuts.

Thank you for visiting me!

Your bromeliad is stunning and paired with the large pinecones makes a lovely vignette for your bookshelf.

The textures of the bromeliad and pinecones really go well together--then the POP! of color in the blossom just sets it all off! Great composition!
Happy Friday!
