Fab Snowflakes

I love Blogging!

While "surf blogging" I found Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge. Fabrizio's (what a gorgeous sexy name!) Christmas Cards challenge in 2009 is one Xmas card every week. Simply add your card(s) to his weekly Yuletide creation which will be posted every Monday, getting your festive season's card stash full for December! Every four weeks he will create a gallery of all your creations from the previous 4 Mondays.

This week's challenge is week 3 ~ Snowflakes Glorious Snowflakes. Boy, oh boy! Do I have snowflake stamps! It was so hard to choose from... I used one of my very first snowman stamps that I got years ago. I stamped the image on vellum, and then colored the back with SU! Watercolor Pencils (I forget what you call this technique...I'll search & find out). For the background, I used a snowflake stamp from SU! A Merry Season. I stamped with white craft ink and then heat embossed with snowy embossing powder.

Black background you ask? Remember I need 2 or more challenges to create one card! I chose black because this week's SCS Limited Supplies challenge LSC204 is Painted Black ~ Limit: Card base must be black so that you have a very bold, black expanse.

Wait! There's more...the inspiration for the card came from SCS Inspiration Challenge IC164: Lang Calendars. I didn't plan to use the Inspiration Challenge for this card, but when I saw this calendar page, I just had to do it!

Vellum, paperclip, ribbon, brads, snowflake, silver CS, white glossy & black CS, foam dots, StazOn Black ink, Zots

What a lovely snowman card Olivia! And what a great idea to make one Chrismascard every week, so you don't have to worry about having too few when Christmas comes again!

I have a photo-challenge in my blog to you:

Hi Oliva, I just love how you stage your cards with the Snowmen or the Snowball on your other card. Well both cards are in the Gallery.

Keep on playing, hugz X Fab
