Tablescape Thursday

I'm having so much fun playing along with Susan's Tablescape Thursdays at Between Naps on the Porch! This is my tablescape for Christmas 2009 dinner. Right after Thanksgiving I had planned on having my family here for dinner, but plans changed. My 2 brothers live in Yuma, and my sister and Mom went to celebrate Christmas with them. Unfortunately, Hubby and I weren't able to go...so our Christmas dinner was just the 2 of us! Hubby loves a very traditional dinner: Roast Beef with all the trimmings~and it's always so good!

I've had my Christmas dishes for about 6+ years, and I use them all throughout the Christmas season...

The red chargers are a new addition this year...from Safeway...

an aerial view...I'm so happy the poinsettia is doing so well...

Cheers!

I bought the tablecloth at a neighborhood garage sale...I love the intricate needlework, but it's a pain to iron...it's going to the cleaners!!!

this is my milk glass pitcher...another garage sale find...

I love this cute set of creamer & sugar bowl...

I used the creamer as a gravy bowl...it was a gift from a co-worker...I just realised that it matches my dishes perfectly!!!

you probably recognize the table runner from last week's post...

I can't remember where I got the tree knife...

Oliva, sorry your couldn't be with your family for Christmas, but looks like you and your husband shared a beautiful table for your Christmas dinner. The holly plates are lovely and the runner with the cardinals so cheerful. Happy New Year's Eve! ~ Sarah
Love that pretty table runner! I have a tablecloth like that too. It's almost impossible to iron! The whole table looks just beautiful.
