I was introduced to beads by making lanyards. After making several for myself and for co-workers, I had lots of leftover beads. To use up the rest of the beads I decided to make jewelry for myself. Then friends like my necklaces, and I had to keep adding beads to my stash. I tell you...crafting is a vicious cycle!!!

I made this necklace for a co-worker's birthday. She is not into big chunky jewelry, so I tried to make it as simple as possible. I used glass beads and silver.

This necklace and set of earrings was my very first attempt at making jewelry. My birthstone is topaz and I love pearls.
I wish I had taken pictures of all the other necklaces and lanyards I've given away.
Live and learn!
