Homemade Laundry Soap

Last month there were several posts about making your own homemade laundry detergent, that I was interested in making it myself.  It seems that all of the ladies who made it and used it were very happy with the results.

 Well I finally rounded up all of the ingredients and made a small batch to try out, and I'm happy to say that I love it!  I did 4 loads of laundry last Saturday, and the clothes were really clean and fresh smelling!  One of the things that prompted me into giving it a try was that Hubby and I have very sensitive skin.  At first I thought it was the weather, since we live in a desert.

Hi Oliva, what an interesting post on about the homemade laundry detergent. I have always wanted to try making some. I have one of those newer washing machines that is a front loader and requires HE detergent. Do you know if this recipe will work in these newer washers as well? Have a nice evening! Delisa :)

Thanks so much for the shout out. I usually make mine liquid but I think I will leave it in powder form and put it in a pretty jar. I am glad you like it. I had to use store bought over the weekend when we were out of town and I could not stand the strong scent. I missed my homemade stuff.
