Grant Me the Serenity...

I found this beautiful cross-stitched sampler at our neighbor's moving away garage sale.  Kathy cross-stitched this when she was 13 years old.  She did a wonderful job!  I just can't believe she would want to get rid of it though.  To me is a treasure.

I plan on framing it and hanging it near my bedside.  That way I can recite this prayer first thing in the morning and last thing before I fall asleep.
God...do I need to follow this!
Have a wonderful day!

What a wonderful find! I can't believe she wanted to part with it, either. Those types of hand cross stitched are such collectors items.
I'm still admiring those crochet coasters, in those beautiful colors, hint, hint! and I have decided that one turn deserves another so I need your address as well.

Hi Judy. Thank you for your comment on my blog post. I came to see what you have been up to and I whole hardheartedly agree with you on that piece of embroidery you came upon. One thing for sure, it is always good that someone who appreciates such work is the one who finds it. Your neighbor may regret one day that she allowed it to be gone, but can be thankful it now belongs to someone who will take good care of it. I could never have parted with it had it been mine. I have a little cross stitch pillow my oldest made for me way back when she was a young girl. My mother-in-law sewed it up into a pillow for her and then it was gifted to me. I really need to post about it, maybe soon. Hope you are doing well. Have a good week.
