Mug Cozies

There's nothing better than to crochet or read on a rainy cool day...and stay in my pj's!!!
Last night I crochet a set of 4 coffee or tea mug cozies from cotton yarn.  These cozies are perfect to keep my beverage of choice hot, and also to protect my hands from the heat while I hold my hot mug.
They were so easy and simple to make.  I used the same pattern I used for my coffee or water cup cozies here.  I just tweaked it a bit by adding extra stitches for length of mug. I crochet a chain loop to hook over buttons, and single crochet all around the edge as a finishing touch.
I'm even thinking of adding a cute crochet pumpkin applique on cozy for added charm!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Hi Olivia,
You are so very talented! I love your tea cozies for mugs. Such a wonderful idea! Happy Tea Day! Karen
I am with you! Nothing like a rainy day to cozy up inside with a cup of tea. How cute and practical your cozies are! I am new to crochet and they look hard to make to me!!

These are really so cute! I love them. I agree, I'm a crocheter too and love when I can just sit and make something that pleases me.
Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a great idea! I've never seen a cozy for a mug, and yours are so pretty. I can just picture myself this winter, holding a steaming mug of hot chocolate wrapped in a cozy. (I can also picture myself not getting out of my pj's all day. So glad someone else admits to occasionally doing that.

Hey , that's a very nice and clever idea, that's a long time I didn't knit or crochet and I still have a lot of wool.
I will try to do some too
