Summer House Sign

I made this summer house sign all by myself!!!
I had been wanting one for our summer home here in MN.
I was inspired by this sign I found on Etsy, and was ready to purchase it for $85...yikes!!!

Luckily for me, while rummaging through the basement, I found a barrel full of wood my late father-in-law had collected.  I went through the barrel and found a great piece of wood that would become the perfect sign.
I gave it a good sanding and cleaning.
I got the letters at Michaels on sale.  The only letters that were available were in black, so I painted them in white...problem solved...and...
I used a pop tab and glued it to the back for hanging...easy peasy!
I hung it up in our dining room to remind us that we are very lucky to be retired so early and enjoying life.
I did have a heck of a time getting a good picture of our dining room that wouldn't come out so dark...frustrating!!!

I am just counting the days until I can go to a part time status in 17 months when the position becomes available....

Thanks for stopping by!!
