Good Old Granny Squares

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the cotton yarn I brought home last Tuesday!
Here are all of the granny squares I have so far.
I do have to go back to the yarn store and get more yarn though.  I haven't decided what main color will go around the edges of all the granny squares yet.
I'm pretty sure I'll be done with it by the end of next week.
I have decided that if it's big enough for me, I will keep it, and use it as a throw on chilly summery days.
Or else, off it goes as a baby gift.

Hi Olivia, you are so sweet and thanks for the comment about my blog! I love your blog too. I love the colors of yarn you chose for the granny blanket. What yarn is it and colors odd you use? I can't wait to see the finished blanket! Have a nice day and weekend.

I think the yellow would be a good choice to go around the edges. I love the soft colours you used. Very pretty. Granny squares are the only thing that I can crochet. A friend taught me but I do not know how to read a pattern. I made a few granny square blankets for my granddaughter's doll cradle (that my daughter used to play with too.)
