National Night Out

Our neighborhood celebrated its first annual National Night Out.
Thankfully two of our younger couples in our neighborhood took it upon themselves to host this wonderful event.  They did a magnificent job!!!

It was a great way to get to meet our neighbors, and put names to familiar faces.  Also, it was really neat to see that we have a new younger generation reviving our well established neighborhood.
We were lucky enough to have two police officers stop by to greet and meet us.

I'm pretty sure with the success of this event, we will have our 2nd. Annual National Night Out scheduled for next year!

I keep thinking there should be one in my neighborhood. A few new neighbors on the block to meet. Lots of things to do at yours.

It only takes one or two motivated people to get this event started. We are so lucky that we finally had 2 couples who were up for the challenge. It was very well planned with lots of activities for the children so that the adults could visit.
