Thrifty Finds

Last Sunday I quickly stopped by my favorite thrift store, and headed straight to the crafts corner.  I came home a very happy camper!!!
I found a bundle of fabric for less than $4.  I liked the fabrics, but I actually picked it up because I loved the retro vintage pink flower one.  I might be working on some hexies soon!
~I apologized for the blurry photo~
I found a package with 8 strips of tumbling blocks ready to assemble quilt.  I imagine the quilter made extras or never got around to finishing it up.  It was less than $3.  I think it will make a great lap or crib quilt.

Of course, I just had to have these two tiny little china demi-tasses (I think that's what they are) for 79 cents each!  They have not one chip, but the gold trim around the brim is mostly faded.

The vintage glass jar was 49 cents, which included cobwebs and some dead little dried bugs inside it.  The seashells came in a little bag and they were also very cheap.  I stored most of them in the cleaned out glass jar, and added the extras to our glass cut bowl seashell collection!

I also picked up a bag full of lace binding, ...
seam binding, and...
some never opened packages of bias seam tape, tiny rick rack, an extra piece of grosgrain ribbon, and a tag with wool thread and extra button!!!  I like to use these items in my altered art projects.
The grand total for my big purchases came to $10!!!

You got some great finds for quilting/sewing. Wonder what you will do with some of that? I will need to see the "afters."

Lucky you you found some really nice goodies for your crafting. I always love to find fabrics. And as you may know, I use old clothing that have pretty designs on them and repurpose them for my projects.

Wow you did good on that run to the thrift store, how neat that they have a craft section, ours around here doesn't have that. That is cool that you found those tumbling blocks already to finish the quilt!!
You really did make quite the haul, Oliva! The quilt top is amazing.
Wow!! Love all of your treasures!! Great crafting items!!

Thanks so much for visiting!!

Hugs,
Deb
